THE HUNDRED DOLLAR SPECIAL

Our first children's book features a story about adopting a cat from the SPCA. An elderly couple living on a farm have a mouse problem and journey to the SPCA with their grandaughter, Elise, to pick out a cat. They bring home "Jewel", and she gets into all kinds of mischief once settled into her new house.

The book's author, M. Kathryn Bourdon, is a former kindergarten teacher from the British Columbia Kootenays. The beautiful illustrations were created in watercolour by Sandra Donohue, a local artist.

The story is based on a real life adventure featuring our daughter, Elise, and her grandmother.
