GREECE ROCK CLIMBING GALLERY
The
Greek island of Kalymnos, is fast becoming a world class rock
climbing destination. The arid landscape
has an incredible collection of limestone walls and caves, much
like the climbing in Thailand minus the humidity. The
overhangs drip with tufas and stalactites and the walls are
covered in edges,
pockets, holes and knobs. The cliffs overlook the sparkling
turquoise
waters of the Aegean Sea and the towns are wonderfully Greek,
with angular white homes dotting the hillside. This is
truly a sport climbing paradise and should not be missed any
climber considering a European climbing vacation. |
